Two quiet lists. Choose either, or both.

From Currawong Books Press in Huonville, Tasmania — a small independent picture-book press. We send a maximum of one note a week, and most weeks far less than that.

A little more about each list.

The Currawong Letter

One note a month.

Around five hundred words, sent on a Tuesday morning. The Letter is the editorial heart of the press — quiet thinking about children's books, country, and the slow craft of making them. Past editions are kept in the archive, with a fragment from each appearing a month after sending.

News from the Press

Occasional updates.

News about new titles, save-the-dates, pre-orders, signed editions, launch events, and the occasional behind-the-scenes look at production. Around six to ten emails a year. When there is nothing to say, we say nothing.

Both

A full picture.

If you'd like both — the monthly Letter and the occasional press news — tick both boxes. The two streams are kept separate at our end, so you'll only ever see one note in your inbox at a time, never a duplicate.

“Australian picture books with heart — quiet stories from a wild country, made slowly in Huonville, Tasmania.”
